Avalon Assisted Living Services

At Avalon Assisted Living, we pride ourselves in maintaining a small, intimate atmosphere. The Reckess family and all staff members maintain a close relationship with residents and keep informed about their preferences.

All of our services are included in one monthly fee. Many other assisted living facilities charge for each add-on service. We include 24-hour aide care, daily housekeeping, laundry services, medication management, meals, transportation coordination, and life enrichment activities as well as all of the services listed below. The only costs not included in the Avalon’s monthly charge are for the hair salon and telephone costs.

Perhaps most importantly, The Avalon is a State-licensed Assisted Living Program (ALP). That means (with few exceptions) as your personal care needs grow, the Avalon adjusts its services to meet those needs. Making each new resident feel at home

The entire Avalon staff understands that a smooth transition from the resident’s home to “our home” is the key to a successful adjustment to the new environment. We are committed to having each new resident feel at home.

For the first 48 hours, an Avalon staff member is assigned to each new resident to make sure that all their needs are met and all questions are being addressed. Introductions are made to peers and staff and each new resident is teamed up  with a “veteran” resident and/or roommate (if they are sharing a room). Our Activity Director takes the time to learn about their lives, likes, dislikes, cultural background, interests in community organizations, church affiliations and introduces them to our extensive life enrichment activities program.
